One transportation inspector can control multiple outdoor robots to work at the same time. Under the intelligent inspection system, the outdoor robot can complete the daily work of the transportation inspection personnel such as equipment status confirmation, meter data identification and analysis, and hidden trouble fault location. This not only liberates manpower, but also improves the efficiency of transportation and inspection.
Intelligent inspection robots for substations have many advantages. When the substation fails, the outdoor robot can quickly reach the site, turn on the camera to allow the operation and maintenance personnel to remotely view the equipment status, and can also check the equipment when the operation and maintenance personnel are not on site, saving equipment troubleshooting time. In special environments, or when special equipment fails, outdoor robots can also replace operation and maintenance personnel to perform operations.

The robot is mainly used in daily inspections of substations. State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has steadily promoted substation robot inspection work in accordance with the work policy of "reducing failure rate, ensuring attendance rate, improving accuracy rate, and taking into account coverage rate". According to statistics, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has deployed 58 intelligent inspection robots for substations of 500 kV and above. The data shows that the attendance rate of these robots is above 85%, and the highest rate can reach 91.44%.
