What are the steps for the 10kV cable DC withstand voltage test with a DC high-v

2021-06-19 16:30:00   Source:    Hits:
        (1) Firstly, check whether the 10kV cable DC high-voltage generator operating box and the pressure doubler are intact and clean. The AC220V power cord and connecting cables should not be open or short-circuited.

   (2) Connect the 10kV cable DC high voltage generator operation box and the voltage doubler with a special cable, and leave a satisfactory and safe distance. Then connect it to the lightning arrester or other load under test, and connect the ground wire of the discharge rod together. Remember to ground the pressure doubler, operation box, test product, and discharge rod!

  (3) After checking all circuit connections and confessing that they are correct, perform the following no-load test.

       (4) Place the power switch in the "off" position, turn the high-voltage output dispatch knob counterclockwise to the end, close the power switch, the meter head flashes, press the closing button, hear a "pop" sound, indicating that the relay is closed, and There is a slender oscillating sound, and the output knob is gradually adjusted clockwise to adjust to the desired voltage value. Assuming that over-current and over-voltage protection functions are required to be used, please place the over-current and over-voltage protection scheduling knob in the corresponding position.

  (5) After the no-load test is completed, the DC withstand voltage and leakage current test of the sample can be carried out. According to the conventional high-voltage test procedure, assuming that the voltage needs to be boosted again after the protection is activated, the power supply must be disconnected first, and then the above process can be repeated.

  (6) When performing a capacitive load test, because of the charging process of the capacitor, the boost speed cannot be fast to prevent the output voltage from exceeding the rated value and causing damage to the test product.

       (7) At the end of the test, be sure to return the high-voltage output dispatching knob to the zero position. After the high voltage drops below 10KV, block the power supply and discharge the remaining charge with a discharge rod to remove the test wiring.
