Function description of current-limiting resistance of DC high voltage generator:
Generally, a current-limiting resistor R should be connected to the AC or DC high-voltage test circuit. Its purpose is to limit the current when the test product C x is discharged or broken down in the circuit, so that the high-voltage short circuit will not cause damage to the test equipment. . However, in some high-voltage tests, it is not necessary to connect the current-limiting resistor. For this reason, the following suggestions are made for the use of the current-limiting resistor:
1. When conducting DC high voltage tests on power equipment such as zinc oxide arresters, ordinary valve arresters, high-voltage switches, and power transformers, it is not necessary to connect a current-limiting resistor.
2. During the withstand voltage test of power cables or power capacitors, a current-limiting resistor should be connected in series in the high-voltage circuit. Simply put, when the test product is a capacitive test product, a current-limiting resistor must be installed.
How to use current limiting resistor:
Just screw one end of the supporting current-limiting resistor to the high-voltage output terminal on the top of the DC high-voltage generator voltage doubler, and then connect the high-precision micro-ampere meter to the current-limiting resistor, and connect it to the test product through the high-voltage shielded wire. Pressure test is sufficient.
