The "Administrative Measures for the Qualifications for Detection of Lightning Protection Devices" have been deliberated and approved at the executive meeting of the China Meteorological Administration on April 1, 2016. The lightning protection device testing qualification level is divided into A and B levels.
Grade A qualification units can be engaged in the detection of lightning protection devices for buildings (structures) of category *, category 2 and category 3 as stipulated in the "Code for Design of Lightning Protection for Buildings".
Level B qualification units can engage in the detection of lightning protection devices for Type III buildings (structures) specified in the "Code for Design of Building Lightning Protection".
